The planting of Aranzadi Park's Riverbank begins

The first trees (Fraxinus Excelsior and Fraxinus Angustifolia) have been planted in the surroundings of the riverside path of Aranzadi Park on Monday, February 25th.

In the coming weeks, it will start the planting in the Fruit Trees Squares  and  in the Floodable Forest. With a rate of about 200 trees a day, it will be planted the 95% of the arboreal vegetation during this winter, allowing the opening of the Park next summer.

To achieve that goal, it has been necessary to overcome exceptionally hard weather conditions this winter (a rainfall record have been dated this in January and the first half of February) and the flooding of the River Arga on January 15th.

It wouldn’t have been possible without a very refined prior strategy and the effort of everybody involved. We want to thank them their commitment which allows a very important step in the future of the Aranzadi Park.
